Hopkins Spring Activities Families,
As you have heard, the 2020 spring season in all activities has been cancelled and there will not be a regular or post-season this year. If you have a student(s) registered for a spring activity, here is information about refunds. Please know that we wanted to offer some options to you as we close out the registrations for this spring and give you the opportunity to make the decision on what happens with the money that you paid for your participation fee(s).
OPTION 1 – ROLL IT OVER
This option will allow you to carry the amount paid into next school year to cover a participation fee during the 2020-21 school year. This would be used for a participation fee only and could not be used for school lunch, academic fees, equipment, etc.
OPTION 2 – LEAVE IT
This option leaves the money in the district general fund and will offset the operating costs of the activities department for the current fiscal year, 2019-20. Our district has committed to paying spring coaches this year and the support from fees would be greatly appreciated.
OPTION 3 – REFUND
This option will refund the money directly to you as paid. If you paid via credit card, the amount paid will be credited to that card. If you paid by check or cash, that amount would be paid to you by check from the district.
Please complete the Hopkins Spring 2020 Registration Fee Options form by FRIDAY, MAY 15TH. After that time, any fund that have not been directed by you will be deposited to the District’s General Fund. If you have questions, specific to this process, contact Sherrie.Reese@hopkinsschools.org.
