Boys hockey player Nate Nelsen is our athlete of the week after a tremendous weekend versus the teams from “Up North.” Nate scored 2 goal Friday night against Cloquet and then registered a hat trick (3 goals) against Hermantown on Saturday afternoon. Head coach Cory Peterson said, “Nate scored 5 goals against two very tough teams which is a feat in itself. Beyond that he led the Royals on and off the ice with his attitude and work ethic. Nate always puts the team before himself and it showed this weekend.” Congrats to Nate and good luck to the boys hockey team the rest of the season!
