Senior Varsity boys soccer goal keeper Ryan St. Clair is off to a great start in the 2016 season.  St. Clair has 2 shutouts on the year and has won 7 of 9 starts. St. Clair had15 saves Tuesday night in a big conference win over Eden Prairie, including 3 incredibly acrobatic saves that kept the Royals in the game. That game was especially important for Ryan, as his uncle his now the coach at Eden Prairie. “It was pretty special to see him step up and have his best performance of the year,” said Hopkins head coach Justin Hegre.  This was also the Hopkins boys soccer team’s first conference win in 2 years.  Hegre went on to say, “He has been a rock for us, leading by example, keeping the boys both positive and honest in training and games.”  Great work Ryan and good luck the rest of the season!

It’s game day, what’s on your playlist to get you pumped up?

Old Kanye. I like the song “Gold Digger” that is on our pre game mix.

What athlete do you admire the most?

Patrick Kane, hockey player for the Chicago Blackhawks . He’s a hard worker, he puts up points and he wins games for his team.

What is your greatest sports accomplishment so far?

Probably being the captain of the varsity hockey team. It’s been a dream of mine for a while, and I am proud to be a leader.

Do you have any superstitions?

If you had to get stuck in an elevator with one teammate, who would it be?

Henry Tapper. He’s a goof…

What do you hope to be doing 7 years from now?

On my way to becoming a dentist.

If you could have one super power, what would it be?

Flying. Being above everything, up in the clouds, that would be pretty cool.
